The reason I would like to use ReWire is so I can hear how the synth tracks that I record in Ableton or Reason sound with what I'm recording in S1. But I'm also probably not racking up as many tracks or using as many plugins as some guys might. So far, I'm having pretty good luck using ReWire for Ableton and I also have the Lite version of Reason. I had to freeze a lot of soft synth stuff, so I couldn't modify sound design or MIDI when mixing anyway. It really provides little advantage to exporting stems and importing into S1, running each DAW individually. I may be able to do it better now with my new computer, but I'm still not interested in it. I've been tinkering with the demo of Live and I do like how you can experiment with different clips in real time.

I'm planning to keep using Studio One as my main DAW.Ībleton got my attention though for beats and synth. But I do enjoy differentiating sound design and arrangement from mixing.
